Welcome to Early Spring Arts!
Located just behind Dragon Stadium, Early Spring Arts Conservatory is a group of dedicated dancers who learn all aspects of dance as an art form and creative process. They carefully study classical dance technique, explore with innovative choreography and improvisation, learn the crafts of costume construction, set design, and theatrical makeup, and as they do, internalize the valuable life lesson that anything is possible! They enjoy many fun and educational artistic field-trips and community involvement projects and performances. In addition to performing in the community they also compete throughout the Spring.
We are located at 2820 Market Loop Suite 100 in Southlake. earlyspringarts@gmail.com 817-823-0684
We do not take a summer break!
At ESA we do not break for the summer, our classes, our company and our schedule is year round. Why?
To put it simply, the body does not take a break. A great dancer is not made 10 months out of the year, a great dancer works hard around the clock, 12 months a year!
Our students that keep dancing through the summer far surpass those that do not, even those that were equal in May.
Strength, muscle memory and stamina all require constant exercise and can be lost after just a couple of months off. We do understand summer vacations and we work hard to be accommodating to students and company members missing performances and classes through the summer. We utilize the understudy model of preparing students to step into a role should the principle be away.
Students that work hard through the summer months see it clearly in their dance and attitude. These dancers come into the fall prepared for lead roles, solos and more performance opportunity. These dancer will be given priority in lead roles and solos as well, it is not favoritism, it is preparedness.
Company dancers must maintain a minimum company schedule during summer months in order to remain on company. They will not have to audition or pay new company member fees in the fall. Allowances will be made for vacations and days off (we are not unreasonable:)). Company dancers that take any month(s) off during the summer MUST audition for company in the fall and fullfill all new company member requirements.
This is for the benefit of the individual dancer, as well as the benefit of your company colleagues who work hard all summer long!
Here's looking forward to a great summer!

Our Promise to You
Before you look at the rest of the site take a moment to gain an understanding of what we stand for.
Dance is beautiful. Dance is sacred. Dance is expression, art, and enjoyment. While we do attend competitions from time to time, we do not believe that dance is ever competition. We see competitions as a means to better ourselves, to see other dancers perform at their best and have an opportunity to dance at our best. At the end of the day it is just an opportunity to perform. Our focus is on performance. We perform at every available opportunity and when one is not available we MAKE an opportunity. From shows to showcases we ARE a performance company.
That being said, we promise to you, the parent of a dancer and first and foremost a child, we will ALWAYS dress your child in costumes that are appropriate for their age and gender. We will ALWAYS chose music and movement that is appropriate for your child's age.
We do not stress modesty for the sake of modesty, we simply stress classical beauty. We do not believe that a dancer must reveal the entirety of their body to perform. The costume MUST fit the dance, and the dance MUST fit the dancer. The female body (yes we have boys that dance, but most of our dancers are female) is a gift. It is not something to be put on display for the sake of display. The dancers body is the dancers instrument and we take that very seriously. Contrary to what you may see on TV or in other studios a dancer does not need to compromise values in order to perform or be competitive.
